Doge's Palace & Bridge of Sighs, Skip-the-Line Tour
The Doge's Palace was the centre of Venetian power for 700 years, the residence of the Doge, the seat of government, and the state prison all in one building. The Council Hall contains the world's largest oil painting (Tintoretto's Paradise, 22 metres wide). Walking across the Bridge of Sighs, which convicted prisoners crossed on their way to the cells, is one of Venice's most atmospheric moments.
