Mount Batur Sunrise Trek & Volcanic Hot Springs
The pre-dawn climb to the summit of Mount Batur (1,717m) is one of the most rewarding and accessible volcano treks in the world. Starting at 2am, you hike by headlamp through jungle and volcanic rock, reaching the crater rim as the sky turns pink and the sun rises over the neighbouring volcano and Lake Batur below. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Lombok. Descend to natural hot springs fed by volcanic water for the perfect recovery.
